How to Perfectly Bake Our Frozen Cookie Dough

Have you got some of our frozen cookie dough and you’re wondering how to dig in? (If not, we’ve got you…you can find it in Farro here or order from our online store here and have it delivered nationwide, right to your door!). Baking cookies from our frozen dough is not only super easy, it’s also incredibly satisfying. Here at The Vegan Treatory, we believe in making vegan treats that are 100% vegan AND 100% delicious so, grab a tub of our frozen cookie dough, and let’s get baking!

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven

Before you do anything else, preheat your oven. For our frozen cookie dough, we recommend heating your oven to 175°C (or 160ºC fanbake). This is the sweet spot for cookies that are golden on the outside and wonderfully gooey on the inside, however, timing will vary depending on your oven so keep a close eye on your cookies when they bake as you don't want to overbake them!

Step 2: Thaw Your Frozen Cookie Dough

We recommend thawing out your frozen cookie dough so that it’s easier to shape into the perfect cookies! Thawing doesn’t take long, 10 minutes should do it! You only want it to be slightly thawed.

Step 3: Prepare Your Baking Tray

While the oven preheats, line a baking tray with parchment paper. This step helps prevent sticking and ensures your cookies come out looking cute and easy to grab straight off the tray!

Step 4: Scoop the Dough

Now that your cookie dough is slightly thawed, scoop your cookie dough into 10 balls and place them on the baking tray. Make sure to leave some space between them as they will spread a little during baking! If you left your cookie dough for too long and it is quite soft, scoop it into balls and then place it back into the fridge or freezer for 10 mins before baking.

Step 5: Bake to Perfection

Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes. Every oven is a bit different, so keep an eye on your first batch to find the perfect timing...you want to take them our when they just start browning on the outside. Please make sure you increase your baking time if you are making larger cookies - these instructions are based on making 10 cookies from one 480g tub.

Step 6: Cooling

Once done, let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes. This rest time allows them to set properly and makes them easier to handle. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely and enjoy later...or enjoy them warm! #delicious

Enjoy!
